Chapter 1

 

Wager Please

 

Naraku had been killed four years ago, Miroku and Sango have their three kids, Rin and Kohaku are becoming closer, and the bond between Kikyo and Inuyasha is still there. "SIT! SIT! SIT!" Kagome yelled. As Inuyasha crashed into his friend, the final soul collector was seen leaving the forest, following Kikyo. "So stupid," Shippo said, who was sitting on Miroku's shoulder.

That night, which so happened to be a New Moon night, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, Shippo, Miroku's kids, and Kirara were sitting around a campfire, with Inuyasha watching from a nearby tree. The group around the fire were talking about Akitoki Hojo's descendant. Inuyasha asked, "Why don't you just break-up with him?" "Yeah, like it's that simple," Kagome said. "Why not?" Inuyasha steamed. "Could you?" a voice asked.

Everyone turned around; Inuyasha jumped out of the tree, and a teenaged human boy, with a t-shirt and pants, was walking down the path, from the well. "Alafooga? How did you get here?" Kagome asked. "I've started to see some strange visions, and asked your grandfather. He finally gave in, when I told him I wouldn't tell," Alafooga said.

"Just what do you mean, by "could he?" Miroku asked. "SHUT-UP MONK, I COULD BREAK-UP WITH ANYONE, IF I WANTED TO," Inuyasha yelled. "Really?" Alafooga asked. Alafooga suddenly had an evil look in his

eye, like he had his brain wheels running in a plan. "Can I get a wager on that?" Alafooga asked.

Everyone looked at Inuyasha, who was being very quiet, for a change. "Well, go on," Kagome said. "Are you all nuts?" Inuyasha asked. "You're the one that said it," Shippo said. Kagome looked at Sango and Kirara, and Sango nodded. Kirara jumped up, transformed into her sabor-tooth cat form, and pushed Inuyasha right in front of the boy.

 

Chapter 2

 

Sealed in Blood

 

Alafooga asked, "Well, how about it, if you stay away from Kikyo, I'll leave, but if you don't you stay in Kagome's time for three months. Do we have a deal?" Inuyasha looked around, with no one willing to help. Kagome had a strange smile, that he had never seen before, like she was planning something. Inuyasha looked back at Alafooga, and asked, "What's your game, and why is Kagome looking at me like that?" "The wager will last for the next six months, and you'll see exactly why she is looking at you that way, but only if you agree to the wager," Alafooga said. "Rrr..." Inuyasha growled. "What's wrong? I thought you were a dog, not a chicken," Alafooga said, slyly.

Inuyasha finally resigned, and said, "Fine, you're on, but you better do what you say you will." "I'd worry about my own fate, if I were you. Especially, if it has to do with the future," Alafooga said. "You realize he won't follow through, right," Shippo asked. Thud! Shippo's head and Inuyasha's fist collided. "Why do you think I asked for the wager?" Alafooga asked.

After a short silence, Inuyasha asked, "What do you mean?" "I think I'll go talk to Kaede," Alafooga said. Alafooga left, and Miroku, Sango, Shippo, and Kagome looked at each other. Three seconds later, everyone, except Inuyasha, who was watching the trail, burst out into a hyena laugh. Inuyasha turned around, and yelled, "WHAT IS SO FUNNY?!" "You mean you don't realize?" Kagome asked,

between giggles. "Yeah, you'll be stuck in Kagome's time for three months, and that's plenty of time for Kikyo to disappear," Sango said. "What's that supposed to mean?" Inuyasha asked.

After another short silence, the silence was broken. "She means, that you have sealed your own fate, and have chosen who you're going to mate, little brother," Sesshomaru said, popping up out of the forest. "How is that even possible, Inuyasha asked, with the sun coming up. "Don't you know anything?" Shippo asked. Inuyasha turned to Shippo. Shippo continued by saying, "Whenever a demon makes a bet, it is sealed in blood, and the only way out, is death," Shippo said. Inuyasha looked at his hand, and noticed his right thumb was dripping in blood, because the sun had risen. After three more seconds, the blood stopped. "Only the truth will appear, in the end, know that, little brother," Sesshomaru said, walking off.

Chapter 3 The Wager-Complete        Four weeks later, Kagome was helping Kaede get some herbs for the villagers' sicknesses, and Alafooga was looking inside a crystal ball, that he had, and Shippo came in.  "You do voo doo?" Shippo asked.  "No, I don't do evil, I just use the crystal ball to see the future.  I don't use that other junk.  Too many people have been killed because of the evil junk, but I use the good of it, to bring people together," Alafooga said.  "Oh, well, could you tell me where Inuyasha is? I fell asleep, and when I woke up no one knew where he was,"  Shippo asked.  "Right about now, I'm guessing he is sealing the bond he has with Kagome," Alafooga said.  "What do you mean," Shippo asked, blinking.  "If he doesn't break-up with the dead girl, he'll be dragged into the well," Alafooga said, "He's in the forest at the moment."       An hour later, there was a series of snaps that came from the forest trees, as Inuyasha was dragged to the well.  Alafooga came out of the hut, and asked, "Where's Kagome?"  Migo, one of Miroku's and Sango's kids said, "Near the cave; she and Kaede were picking herbs."  "Alright, see ya!" Alafooga said.  Alafooga headed towards Onigumo's cave, and met up with Kagome and Kaede at the entrance, as they were coming from around the side.         "Has it happened?" Kagome asked, noticing the expression on Alafooga's face.  "Do what you can, you'll have plenty of time," Alafooga said.  Kagome took it as ayes, and Alafooga said, "I'll take these, you hurry to thewell."  Kagome nodded, as she gave the herbs to Alafooga.  As Kagome hurried towards the well, Kaede asked, "Alafooga, how is it, that ye were able to come here?"  "I'm not sure, but it may have something to do with the crystal ball I brought with me," Alafooga replied.  "I see, and how do ye know so much?" Kaede asked.  "My mother was a fortune teller, but I'm a seer," Alafooga  said.         The word passed very quickly, about how Alafooga came to the Fuedal Era.  During the next three months, while Inuyasha and Kagome were in Kagome's bedroom, and the house was asleep, Kagome said, "Bite me!"  Inuyasha looked at her, stunned for a second, but came to his senses, and sank his fangs into her neck.  Knowing what would eventually happen, Kagome wrapped her arms around Inuyasha.  Kikyo would meet up with a Monk, who would be able to purify her, during the first year, of the soon to be Yasha family.  Over the next year, Kagome was in her's and Inuyasha's hut with Inuyasha, and Kagashe and Inu, with Shippo as a babysitter, and she knew she would now live as long as Inuyasha, but she wasn't complaining, because she had always enjoyed Inuyasha's company.
