Kagome frowned. She was sure that she’d seen silver hair in the crowd again but when she blinked it was gone. Whoever he was, he’d been lurking in the shadows around her for as long as she could remember. She would have called him a stalker except that the feeling she got from him was something else entirely, like he was watching out for her, protecting her like a guardian angel.

She shook her head. ‘It was nothing. I’m just seeing things,’ she thought to herself like she did every time it happened. Why would someone follow her around, keeping to the very outer edge of her senses? Even when she couldn’t spot him she could feel him. If he was just an illusion, a figment of her imagination than why did he feel so real?

The silver haired male sighed as he made his way back to his apartment. Soon… soon she would be pulled through the well and he wouldn’t have to worry about her… at least not in this era.  In the past, well that was a different story. Walking inside he followed his nose to his mate, sitting down beside her on their couch.

Kagome shot him a look and sighed. “You know, I made it to my fifteenth birthday just fine. I didn’t need to be protected.”

Sesshoumaru smirked before pulling her in for a kiss. “How do you know that this Sesshoumaru was not watching over you then as I am now?”
