Story Notes:
The original definition of a Haiku always references nature. In 1998, during Creative Writing of my Junior Year in high school, already a master of tradtional haiku format, took on the challenge of labelling a new term: Urban Haiku.

His attire pristine
White and red flapping in breeze
I wish he was mine
The battle was nigh
my close friends struggling badly
even I had doubts
However he came
Regally, honorably
to help us battle
After much hardship
Naraku was dead and gone
We were in much shock
I look upon him
and wonder if he might leave
but still he remains
His amber gaze cold
Assessing the aftermath
they fall upon me
I freeze in his path
and find it not so chilling
comforting instead
The once stoic lord
seems not to hate humans so much
or at least not me
And I find myself
intrigued that he feels the same
My heart flutters so
I had always known
of my secret obsession
perhaps he knew too
On the battlefield
I lay in its dark abyss
patiently waiting
My flesh scarred and torn
but hanging desperately
to protect a jewel
He must have noticed
amber eyes holding respect
down upon my soul
I feel my heart bleed
and he seems to sense my pain
rushing to my side
"Silver youkai lord"
I cry out within his arms
and look at his eyes
Very beautiful
I wish my last breath longer
he grows quite concerned
I feel his embrace
my eyes blurry with hot tears
wanting not to die
It is destiny
as I clutch the Shikon jewel
I wish for them all
For their happiness
for them to love so freely
for their peace of mind
I whisper sadly
"I love you Sesshoumaru"
and feel my life pass
'I feel no regret
even though I never felt
his lips upon mine.'
