XD     Characters: Kagome and Sesshoumaru Summary: Name: Kagome Higurashi (Blue Eyed) Age: 26 years old Height: 5'8 Weight: 105 lbs Skills: Target-shooting and judo-karate Weakness: Being alone So what happens when she thought she had lost her beloved on a deadly mission?     Prologue   “Red Tiger to Blue Eyed, over,” a man roared through the microphone of his headset. “Blue Eyed to Red Tiger, copy. We are now heading to the target area,” said Kagome. “Copy. Continue moving. I'll wait for you here at the target area,” instructed the man. “Copy,” Kagome replied, “just keep an eye on them, over.” “Copy, over.” And then gone was the voice on the other line. Kagome turned her head to see her teammates following behind her. There were 4 men and 3 other women. She motioned them to continue following her as she led them towards the mountain, rocks everywhere. Thankfully, there are these modern and convenient devices designed especially for mountain-climbing that Kagome's team easily climbed the peak of the mountain. “Blue Eyed to Red Tiger, we are now viewing the target,” Kagome said while gazing upon a mansion situated at the middle of the mountain. “Copy. Just be careful,” the man said lovingly. “Naraku's men are all over the place armed with the deadliest weapons. I repeat, they are armed with the deadliest weapons.” “We can see them from our location.” “Copy, instruct your team to be alert and be very carefully. The mansion is where Naraku's transaction with Nokamoto will be held. And as of this moment, a large box filled with cocaine is opened and another box is for the payment. Get in here as soon as you can,” Red Tiger informed and Kagome feared for him. He was inside the mansion, alone. She shuddered in fear, but answered. “Copy.” “Ah, Blue Eyed...” “Yes?” “I love you.” Kagome froze but after a moment, a smile teased her lips. “I love you too.” And she turned off her headset. She glanced at her fellow agent, Sango and saw the amusement in her eyes. She smiled at her friend and wore the sunglasses designed with night vision so she had viewed the surrounding as bright as the sun. From her estimation, thirty men were guarding the whole mansion. They are wearing over-all camouflage and boots that reached the knees. It was more than obvious that they were taking their duties very seriously and are not to be underestimated. “Men, the place is heavily guarded,” she informed the team. “Be careful, all of you.” “Got it,” Miroku answered. “Sango, Kouga, guard the left. Miroku and I will take the right path. Inuyasha and his crew are working on the bomb.” “Okay!” Their other companions were to serve as the look-out and reinforcement incase they may need help. The other help from the agency is still on the way. After a few minutes, Miroku and Kagome were able to get near the side of the mansion. They were concealed by the large bush of plants that lined-up on the side of the wall. “Mir, I'm heading in.” She didn't wait for a response as she aimed the arrow gun and fired. The device was an amazing thing, in which a string is attached to the arrow and has the capacity to carry at least a ton. I'll go,” Kagome said when she was certain that the grip of the arrow was firm enough and secured the string around her waist. A few moments later, she was hanging by the window and cursed when she saw a guard walking back and forth towards her location. She ducked quickly, cursing, because the man seemed to be a fan of oceans because he kept looking at the scenery. Kagome got impatient and she reached for a small knife in her boots. She expertly and effortlessly threw the weapon, the exact moment the man turned around. It hit the space in the middle of his eyes and like a crumpled paper, he fell down lifelessly. Kagome immediately dragged his body and hid it in a narrow space on the veranda. “Blue Eyed to Black Sheep, all is clear. Get in,” she told Miroku. “I'm coming,” was the reply. Kagome walked slowly to a small door, leading where, she doesn't have any idea. “Blue Eyed to Red Tiger, what is your position?” There was no answer. “Blue Eyed to Red Tiger, please respond.” But just like earlier, there was no answer. Kagome began to panic. “Red Tiger,” she tried again. There was only static in the other line, but after a moment later, she heard a whimper. “Kagome…” “Red Tiger, what happened to you?” Static. “Oh God, answer me Sessh, please, what's going on?” Kagome pleaded, nearly in hysteria. “Do not bother calling him, Blue Eyed. I have him now, his body, his life.” Said a man whose voice Kagome didn't recognized but knew he was responsible to whatever happened to Sessh. “Who are you?” she asked the person on the other line, but having a fair idea who he might be. The man laughed, and didn't answer at all. “Damn it, answer me! What did you do to Sesshoumaru?” It was clear that she was now talking to no one for the bastard had probably cashed the radio into pieces. Kagome's heart pumped wildly and frantically against her chest. Her breathing grew labored and she fought the urge to cry. This situation requires her to be focused if she wants to know what happened to Sessh. “Kagome, what's the matter?” Miroku asked when he got in. “Miroku, Sessh is in danger!” she cried out. “What do you mean? How did you know?” “Naraku answered his radio. He must have discovered that Sessh was inside the house. And now he has Sessh. God, he got him. We need to do something,” she said desperately. “We need to get him back.” “We will, we will,” Mir soothed. “But let us wait for orders…” “No!” Kagome interrupted. “There is no time! I'm going in.” Miroku was quick to grab her arm, “Not so fast, Kagome. We cannot go inside the house without Inuyasha's signal that the time bomb had been activated.” “But Sesshh.. the enemies got him.” “Kagome, please, control your emotions. Think of the trainings we had. In our kind of job, we must be prepared to--” “To what? To leave our teammates behind? Is that it?” she exploded. “That's not what I meant and you know it,” he answered firmly. “You know very well that we must analyze the situation first before doing anything.” “Bullshit, Miroku! My boyfriend is there! Alone and in danger. Do you have any idea how hard it is for me to just stand here, have this conversation with you and do nothing?!” “Lower your voice,” Miroku instructed firmly. “They might hear us.” “I don't care! I will help him. Besides, these bastards already know we're here.” And then Kagome run towards the door and flung open the door. “Kagome!” Miroku yelled who was running behind her. “What?” she snapped, causing the three guards to look at her direction. Acting on impulse, Kagome fired and the three men died on instant. She immediately walked down the stairs that lead to the lower floors. “Kagome!” Miroku called out, his voice thick with worry. Kagome ignored him and run like a bird, easily a target. But Kagome heard nothing. She fired and fired like she was born for that moment and the four men hindering her path fell down. “Kagome, goddamn, wait for me!” Miroku finally grabbed her am. “Go the conference room,” Kagome instructed. “I'll take the stairs.” But before Miroku could answer, they heard a loud explosion. “Kagome, it's the bomb!” But Kagome couldn't answer, couldn't move. The bomb Inuyasha had just exploded. Damn! They didn't know Sessh was with Naraku. Fear gripped her, making her totally a slave of her emotions. “Blue Eyed to White Lion,” she called out to Inuyasha. “Sessh is in danger, help me find him.” “Abort the mission,” Inuyasha said gruffly. “I repeat, abort the mission. The entire island will explode in just three minutes. Evacuate the mansion.” “What the--?” Kagome's vision blurred. Miroku must have also received the instruction from Inuyasha to abort the mission because he said, “I'm sorry, Kagome, but I have to do this.” He reached out, his arms on her shoulder and touched the back of her neck. With a simple manipulation of his hand, Kagome lost consciousness.     AN: Kagome is not dead, okay? Inuyasha ordered Miroku to calm down Kagome and that is the only way Miroku knows how so there. But Sessh was definitely taken by the enemies. Please review!! Thanks so much.
