The terms used for the ceremony and also the dscription of th garbs are exceptional. It helped me visualize the whole scene. In fact, you have done a wonderful job throughout the whle sory in doing this.
Author's Response: Thanks so much! I did a tremendous amount of research, and all of my discriptions were based on real garments. I think I spent more time looking to find the perfect garments than I did to write the entire chapter. Finding English descriptions of those that had been to Japanese weddings/receptions was also a trip. And I found a great used garment site with probaby hundreds of pieces that I used for the wedding (with my own touches added like the inside of InuYasha's haori). Anyway, I'm glad you've enjoyed that part of it. I did spend a lot of time trying to get it right.

It is good Eri came to terms and came clean with Kagome on her behavior. I am surprised InuYasha did not know about same sex practices. Shudo was practiced in the Tokugawa era, as well as the Edo Period and a bit before.
Author's Response: While they may have practiced it, he wasn't around humans jor youkai enough to know. He appeared to live pretty much alone until he started talking with Kikyou, and even then, he wasn't around other humans much. With everyone trying to kill him for his "tainted" blood, you couldn't really blame him. I think he led a very lonely existance after his mother died.

I almost kind of find it annoying in a away that Kagome and InuYasha have to explain her rape and then the jewel being purified. Well, that is me... I am sure they were just as uncomfortable about it. However, I guess it is because of the trust they have in those who they told.
Author's Response: They were annoyed, but knew Ayame had no way of knowing the truth. As far as the jewel being purified, well, who would have expected it to go like that? And it 'd been around so long that many sought it and didn't really believe it could be purified out of existence. Sesshomaru knew his counterpart and that he could be trusted. They'd rather spread the word it was gone than have more occurences of demons coming after it when they weren't around to protect the village from them.

Author's Response: It was part of the agreement, even if Sesshomaru had never really intended to act on it. Things are just a bit more intense than he ever expected, though. And since Kagome accepted his protection and InuYasha agreed to it, they won't fight him on it. Might as well enjoy it!
