Author's Chapter Notes:
The first day of a new school year!
~The Tinkono house-5:30 a.m.~"Basel!.....Basel wake up!" Keel shook Basel back and forth till she opened her eyes. "ugh.....what?" Basel answered sitting up in her bed and squinting from the bright light shining in her eyes. "We have school! Get up, get dressed and come down stairs for breakfast!" Keel walked out of the room and into the hall, then proceeded down stairs to the kitchen. "Man he could have at least left the light out......now my eyes hurt." Basel got out of bed, stretched her arms high above her head, and yawned. "Oh! I almost forgot I was going to demon high school with Ke! (Her nickname for Keel, she only ever uses Keel when she's mad at him) I can't wait! It's just too bad Sango and Mirkoku won't be there........thank god Kagome won't!" The young girl said to herself. When Basel had finished getting ready and had come down stairs to the kitchen to eat Keel was outside smoking on the deck. Basel walked over to the cupboard and got a plate, then she went over to the table. She placed three pieces of bacon and some scrambled egg on her plate, and started eating. Keel threw his cigarette on the deck and stomped it out with his foot. He picked it up and brought it in with him. Keel threw it into the trash can and looked over at Basel. "I know you don't like that I smoke Sel, but you have to make sure mom and dad don't find out...." Basel swallowed her bite of egg. "I don't care if you smoke.....it's your life, and you can choose to die early if you want Keel!" Basel went back to finishing up her food. Keel shook his head. He looked up at the clock on the wall. "Hey we gotta go. You want a ride?" Basel had just finished her food and was now taking her plate to the sink to rinse it off. "That depends. Are you gonna smoke?" By the way Keel looked down at the ground she knew the answer was yes. "No. I'll walk" Keel walked to the garage door and opened it. "Fine, just be safe!" "I will." Basel watched Ke shut the door. She walked over to the door where her shoes and backpack were at. She slipped on her shoes and backpack, and grabbed her IPod out of her pocket. She heard her brother's car drive out of the driveway and speed down the street. She carefully stuck the ear buds into the ears on top of her head and turned on Teenagers by My Chemical Romance. She opened the door, and walked outside mouthing the words to the song.~InuYasha’s house with Sesshomaru-6:45 a.m. ~ InuYasha looked around the house for his book bag. "Damn it! Where did I put it?!" Sesshomaru walked past his younger brother and opened the door seeing the Keel was there to give him a ride to school. Then without a word to InuYasha; he walked out the door. "Asshole"Inuyasha reached under the couch and grabbed onto something. He pulled it out. "Yes! There it is." He slung it over his shoulder and opened the door. He walked outside and shut the door. He jumped over the walk way to the house and landed on the sidewalk by the road. He looked across the street. Basel was moving her mouth fast, and was violently making gestures with her arms, and legs. *She must be listening to My chemical Romance.....* InuYasha thought, running across the street to meet up with her. He tapped her on the shoulder softly. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Basel screamed and whipped around to see who had just scared her. "InuYasha!" She took out her ear buds. "God you almost gave me a heart attack!" InuYasha raised his eyebrow at her. "Really cause it looks like I scared you half to death! And you're the full demon?" Basel laughed. "Yeah....so anyway whats up?" Basel turned back to the way she was walking before, InuYasha now walking beside her. "Ugh! Same as always......hey! I'm glade you going to be joining us at demon school from now on! Now I won't have to deal with Naraku, and Sesshomaru give me any shit about being a half demon!" Basel nodded "Man you are so lucky you have me to save you!" Basel said elbowing her old time friend. "Hey by the way....I love how you were dancing back there! What were you listening to? Teenagers?" Basel blushed "Yeah......I just always loved that part when He runs his hand up his stomach to his head; messing up his hair....." InuYasha laughed. "You are so weird! You know that?" Basel nodded in agreement.~The Rous house-7:15a.m. ~ Anketa Ran down the steps as fast as she could, and went into the kitchen to get her backpack. She grabbed it and ran to the front door, almost tripping over her untied shoe lace. She flung it open and ran down the walk way, and to the side walk. She ran down the side walk to the right, and as she did so Basel and InuYasha were coming from around the corner, going straight. "Basel! InuYasha! Wait up!" Basel and InuYasha stopped short, and turned to look at the brunette girl who was now rushing towards them. "Hey keta!" Basel said smiling; showing her big white fangs. *Man! Not now! Why couldn't she have just kept her mouth shut, and left me and Inu to talk alone for a change?* Basel thought angrily. "Whats up InuYasha? How's Sesshomaru doing?" InuYasha rolled his eyes. "Ugh! I don't even want to hear his name right now! He gets on my nerves so bad!" InuYasha’s hands were clenched in a ball, straight down at his sides. "Oh ok......." Basel shook her head. *When will she learn?* "So Keta....why did u look so worried when you called out to us?" They were very close to the school now, you could almost see make out the genders of the students on the school grounds. "I thought I might be late! My mom and dad left for work, and forgot to wake me up! I wasn't sure what time school started....." "It starts at 7:45...." InuYasha informed Anketa. "Oh....thanks InuYasha!"~Demon High school-7:20a.m. ~ Basel, InuYasha, and Anketa passed very few people they actually knew, and there was no sign of Keel and his friends anywhere. The three made there way up the large stone steps to the front door, and inside. They stopped over by a wall where many students were looking at 8 different colored pieces of paper that had "Student home rooms" above them. They all three pulled out their schedules. "What do you guys have for first block?" Basel asked looking at her first block teacher's name. "I have........Reading 9, room 503 with Ms.Nanti" Inuyasha said with disappointment. Basel's eyes light up. "Hey! That's what I have!" "Not me! I have Biology 9, room 209 with Ms.Kaeda." "I have that second block.....what about you InuYasha?" Basel asked InuYasha hopefully. "I've got that fifth block." Basel looked back at her paper. "Well what about lunch? I have lunch B...." "So do I!" Both Anketa and InuYasha said happily. "Well at least we can all eat together!" Basel sad positively. "Hey I've got to go this way so you guys go ahead and get to class! See you guys later!" Anketa ran down the hall to the right. "Well InuYasha......why don't we go to class now?" Basel said starting to walk down the left hall. "Yeah....ok" InuYasha walked with Basel to first block in silence. They passed lots of rooms on the way, even a huge room that was probably the gym, or the lunch room. When they got to room 503 a teacher was standing by the door. She had long, light purple hair that was braided back messily and a pair of small glasses on her tiny nose. She was wearing a white blouse with a blue sweater over it, and a denim pencil skirt. "Hello! I am Ms.Ninta, but you don't have to say Ms.Ninta, you can just call me Ninta. I'm very pleased to have you two in my class." "Hi! I'm Basel Tinkono, and this is my friend InuYasha!" "Well Basel, InuYasha, you may take a seat anywhere you wish, for I do not intend to keep you confined to a seat you are unhappy with." "Cool! Thanks." InuYasha and Basel walked into the room. It was small, but pleasant, much like the teacher. The desks were spread around the room in clusters, and rows incase you didn't want to sit so close to anybody else. The clusters were in the middle, and one very long row of desks went around three of the walls. Sitting in one desk reading a piece of crimpled notebook paper was Sango. "Sango?! What are you doing here? This is a demon school!" Sango looked up from the piece of paper; probably a note from Mirkoku (They have been dating for the past few months.) "Well hi to you too Basel!" Basel walked over to Sango with InuYasha and sat at the desk across from her. "The school director told us that they were tired of people complaining that one of the best schools in the state was only for demons, and that people were saying that the school board was being racist against humans, so they decided to let anyone who wanted to attend here attend here! But I guess it's only a test to see how all the students act together. That's the only reason they originally only wanted full blood demons." InuYasha sat down next to Basel. "But they only just let half demons attend here last year! And besides won't normal humans get hurt here? I remember last year was bad enough with the half demons! I can only imagine what they'll do when they find out there are humans here!" InuYasha shook his head. "Well at least we can all see each other every morning now.......Hey is Mirkoku here too?" Sango nodded her head. "Yeah....I seen him this morning we walked to school together. I also saw Kagome and Kikyo too." *WHAT!!!! UGH! NOW I HAVE TO PRETEND TO LIKE HER AT SCHOOL TOO!* "Oh how wonderful!" Basel said with a fake smile plastered across her face. After talking for a while longer almost all the desks in the class had students in them. Basel, InuYasha, and Sango stopped talking when Kero sat down next to Sango. "Hey Kero! Whats up? Hey you haven't seen my brother have you?" Kero thought about it for a second and then slowly nodded his head. "Yeah...he was with Naraku, Kikyo, Sesshomaru, and I think Kouga was with them too. I didn't feel like watching Naraku make out with Kikyo, so I found my locker, and then came up here." "DING!........DING!........" The bell signaling school had begun rang loudly twice, and then stopped. Ninta walked into the room and to her desk. About five minutes later the bell rang again, and class had started. Anyone who came in after that bell would be counted tardy to school. There was a loud crackling noise, and the deep voice came onto the loud speaker. "Good Morning and welcome to another great year of high school! As some of you may or may not have noticed your powers will not work in the school building, on the grounds, or four hundred feet away from the grounds, so don't try anything stupid like blow up the chemistry teacher like last year, by the way I'm sorry to say Mrs. Jusie won't be coming back this year or any other year for that matter. She says teaching chemistry just isn't worth being blown up for. Instead will be Mr.Totosai. The reason for the power proofing of the school is that we have human students this year. You will not be told which students are human until the end of the year. You know who you are, but don't go telling anybody! Today for lunch will be raw chicken, and cooked chicken. If you have a problem with it tough! Then you should have brought your own lunch. Thank you and have a nice day. (Doesn’t know intercom is still on) Ok send in Tinkono......what? No the intercom isn't on!......Oh oops!" Everything goes quite once the students stop laughing. "He did that last year a lot too......" InuYasha explained to Sango and Basel. "What did he do this time Basel?" Basel shook her head. "I don't know, but it can't be good......" The teacher was now going around the class handing out papers of class conduct. "Now these will not be your permenent seats....you are allowed to sit anywhere you wish, because I believe that as the students you shouldn't have to be confined to one seat, you should get the whole experience!...." ~Second block 8:54a.m. ~"DING!......DING!........" All the student walked out of the room to go to there next block. "Wow! That was interesting!" Kero said walking beside his younger friends. They all nodded."Miroku!" Sango shouted before running after Miroku. "Sango! How good to sees you" Basel watched as Miroku's hands slipped down to Sango's thigh. "I hope she gets what he deserves!" Basel said shaking her head. "Whats wrong with that? They're dating aren’t they?" "Yeah....I guess, but only for a few months......" "Hey Basel!" "Hey Kagome!" *Oh god here we go......." "Hi Kagome!" Kero said cheerfully smiling at her. "Kero......hi....um listen Do any of you have History 9, room 439 with Mr.Myoga?" InuYasha took out his list, so did Kero and Basel. "Nope I have Biology 9, room 209 with Ms.Kaeda...." Basel didn't see it but Kero's eyes light up. "Hey that's what I have!" "I do......then I have Gym.....hey there's no room number or teacher here....." InuYasha exclaimed. "Hey that's what Imine says......" Basel looked around at everyone. "Me too!.....Wow that's weird..." "I know!" Kagome said "Great so then I'll see you and Kero in third block before lunch!" InuYasha said to Basel before walking away with Kagome. Kero smiled, and Basel looked up at him.” What?!" "You don't like Kagome do you?" *Man you're beautiful when your mad!* Kero thought. Basel looked around her nervously. "Shhhhhhh! Not so loud! I don't want anyone to know!" They continued to walk towards their next block. "Why not? If you don’t like someone you shouldn't have to pretend to like them......why do you anyways?" Basel looked down at her feet as they walked. Kero stopped, and grabbed her shoulders lightly making her stop. Basel didn't want to look in Kero's eyes. She knew he liked her, and she didn't want to make him mad. Kero lifted up her chin with his right hand; people were walking around them since they were in the middle of the hallway. Even though Basel's face was being lifted up she still looked down. "Sel....you don't have to pretend to like her for me....... to tell you the truth I like someone more than I like Kagome..........you can say I love her." *Come on! Get the hint Basel! I love you! You way more than I like Kagome!* Basel looked up at Kero "You called me Sel.....Nobody ever calls me Sel other than Ke.......Wait a second........you love somebody?! Not Kagome! Who is it?! What's she like?! How long have you known her?!......." Kero sighed. *Basel I thought you were smarter than that......it's you, but I guess your not ready to hear that yet....* When they finally got to second block that teacher was standing outside the door too. "Rous! Hey I was beginning to wonder if you were gonna show up for school! When I didn't see you this morning." Basel was now inside the room giving her friend a hug. "Oh I uh got a ride with your brother........please don't kill me...." "I won't.....but why did you get a ride with him?" "When he was getting Naraku I went over there to get a ride....I just didn't want to walk" Basel shrugged it off, and than sat down in the seat next to Rousalin, and Kero sat down next to Basel. Instead of desks there were long tables, and at every table there were microscopes. In the back of the room were three sinks. "DING!...............DING!...." Ms.Kaeda walked into the class and shut the door behind her. "Hello everyone I am Lady Keada, I know that your papers say Ms.Kaeda, but I wish for you to call me Lady Keada. Basel raised her hand interrupting Lady Keada's introduction. "Yes you dog demon girl." Basel put her hand down. "Ummm my name is Basel, and I was just wondering why you shut the door......there were two students out there that couldn't get in...." The ageing woman looked surprisingly at Basel followed by "ooing and ahhing" from the other students. "Well...Basel did you say it was? I believe that once that bell has rung that anyone who isn't in the classroom before it rings should not be allowed to enter until they have a pass from the principals office.....is that alright with you or would you like to join them?" Basel looked down at her desk. "No that's fine I was just wondering....." Lady Keada took a stack of papers from her desk and began to hand them out. "Now I am handing out class conduct forms, I would like them singed by you and your parents. I trust that you can read them at home, because there will be a test over them on Friday, and we will not be going over them in class. Now I will go around the room and get your names for the seating chart, I hope you chose your seats wisely for these will be your seats for the rest of the semester......"~beginning of third Block 9:45 am~Basel, Rousalin, and Kero walked out together after the bell rang. "She didn't seem too happy with you Sel......I wouldn't test her patience." Kero nodded. "I know a guy last year who upset her, and then he was never seen again!" Basel's eyes widened. "OH my God! Did she eat him?!" Kero looked at her, and laughed. "Oh no! She called his parents and told them what happened, and then they moved........I guess not as bad as eating him, but she must have scared them bad because they had been living here since his parents went to this school!" "Wooooow!" They went down the stairs toward the Gym. "Hey do any of you know what we do in gym? Like is it regular like my old school had or is it.......fighting and stuff?" "Well I guess that just depends what you did at your old school...." Rousalin nodded in agreement. "Hey how’s come you didn't come to school here like me and InuYasha did last year Basel?" *Because my parents didn't want me coming to school here the first year mixed breeds were allowed......* Basel thought "Oh I didn't want to leave my old school right away, or Sango and Miroku........." Rousalin nodded her head. "Oh ok" When they got to the Gym there was about 350 other students there.....at the least! Basel looked around the crowed, spotting Sango with Miroku talking to Kagome and Anketa was talking to Miroku. Then she looked around some more to see if she could find anybody else. InuYasha was talking to Kouga, and Sesshomaru was with Keel, Naraku, Kikyo, and Kogura. "Hey Rousa.......Mirkou is over there" Basel pointed to the only boy who would ever think of wearing purple in High school. Rousalin ran/skipped over to Miroku. Kero looked at Basel. "Aren’t you going to go over there too?" Basel looked up at Kero, and shook her head. "Kagome's over there!......" Basel slightly growled at Kagome to herself. "Oh.......well it looks like were gonna be here for a while, so.........." Basel stared at Kero confused. "So..........what?" She said smiling sweetly. *Why don't we just stay here? Talk, and let me tell you how much I love you.......* Basel broke through Kero's thoughts "What Kero? Just say it! You don't have to go all silent, and starry eyed on me!" "What?! Starry eyed?.....um it was nothing, I just didn't want to go over there with Kouga being over there and all......" Basel looked from the sad cheetah to the laughing half-breed dog that she would always love. "That's ok Kero! I'll just stay here with you!" Basel flashed Kero one of her fake but comforting smiles. One thing Basel knew was that no matter how she felt she could always pretend to be the happiest person ever. The only people who could tell when she was lying were Keel, and sometimes InuYasha could tell by the way she smelled. "Basel you're always so nice to me.....even when other people don't care; you do!" Kero got that starry look in his eyes again, like he was a million miles away. *I wonder where he goes when he gets like that.......It's like it's just him and nobody else is around or can break through to him!* "So Kero will you tell me who you're in love with now? Please!!!!!!!!!!!" Basel flattened her ears, pouted her lips, made her eyes look big and watery, and put her hands together in a begging position. "Well.......I guess..." Kero was cut off as a big guy with four arms walked into the hallway making all the students part around him. "Hello Students!" His deep voice boomed through the hall, and the bell had already rung for class to start. "I am you teacher......why don't you just call me Mr. Four for the sake of things hmm?" He stepped forward through the crowed of kids going to the door of the gym. "As you all have noticed this door is locked.....you can't get in it, and once you're in you can't get out, unless I unlock the door.....It will be like this every day when you come in before class, and after lunch.....This is because this is the only room where your powers will work, and we don't want anyone to get into a fight when there's no teacher around to supervise....so why don't we get started right away?" Mr. Four took one of his four arms, and took the key from his pocket. He put it in the door and twisted it, and then a little box came out of the wall next to it. He quickly punched in god knows how many numbers and letters, and then it disappeared into the wall again. "They don't waste money on security do they?" Basel whispered to Kero. Kero shook his head. The doors slowly slid open reveling what looked like a giant black hole. When Mr. Fours walked into the room all you could hear was the echoing of his foot steps as he walked, then there was a loud snapping noise, and the room was suddenly filled with bright light. We were right about one thing though.......the room was huge! As the teacher walked back once again we could hear his foot steps and not that girly clicking noise either! Kinda like biker boots on the cement outside of a bar......Mr. Fours was now back at the door. "Alright Now I want everyone to go and sit in a seat in the bleachers!" Mr. Fours walked behind the door, and disappeared into a small room which looked like an office of some sort. Every one started filling in the room, Basel went in with Kero almost first because it seamed like most of the other students were so scared of Mr. Fours they didn't want to follow him in. Basel walked over to the right side of the Gym, and her and Kero got seats on the very top row. When everyone was seated Kero and Basel were sitting next to Sango, Miroku, InuYasha who was on the other side of Basel then Kero was, next to Kagome who was between Kero, and Sango, Rousalin was next to Mirkou, and Anketa, Sesshomaru was next to Anketa, and also next to Keel, who was by Naraku, and next to Naraku was Kikyo, and then the last person that we could fit in this separated section of the top row was Kogura. (InuYasha, Basel, Kero, Kagome, Sango, Miroku, Rousalin, Anketa, Sesshomaru, Keel, Naraku, Kikyo, Kogura, and Kouga were sitting in front of Miroku looking at Basel. In case that was all too confusing) Then the teacher walked out of his office and into the middle of the gym standing on a picture that you couldn't make out too well. He was talking about the rules of the gym when the bell for lunch rang.~Lunch B 10:05~It didn't take everyone very long to get down to the lunch room since it was right down the hall from the Gym. Everyone that was in Basel's row was now sitting at the same lunch table, well except for Keel, Naraku, and Sesshomaru. Plus Kagome had gone to the library because the thought of raw meat made her sick. That wasn't the only thing they served since mixed breeds, half-breeds, and humans started going to this school. Now they have three different things; raw meat, cooked meat, and salad for those who don't eat meat. Kero, Basel, InuYasha, and Sango stood in line to get there food, while the rest sat at the table. When it was finally there turn to get there food a kinder looking lady stood behind the food ready to give them what ever they wanted. "What would you like sweetheart?" The lady asked nicely*Oh crap........full demons can only have raw meat! Oh I hate raw meat! Alright well maybe they won't notice....* "I'll have the cooked chicken please" She took a pair of tongs and used them to get a piece of chicken, and then she put it on the tray and handed it to Basel. Basel walked up to the cash register. InuYasha also got the cooked chicken, Kero got the raw chicken, and Sango got a French salad. InuYasha sat next to Basel and Miroku. Kero sat across from Basel and next to Anketa, and Rousalin. InuYasha watched Basel rip the chicken to pieces, and devour it with her bare hands. *Aren't full demons supposed to eat raw meat?* InuYasha thought. Sango delicately ate her salad, trying her hardest not to watch Kero eat. Kero was eating even worse than Basel was. He was licking all the blood out of the chicken, and then he would gnaw on a piece of it till it came off in his mouth. InuYasha looked down at his food sadly. He wanted ramen, not chicken. He wasn't even going to get food today, but even so why waste good food. He picked it up and slowly started to eat. ~Ending of third block 11:45~ Sesshomaru, Naraku, and Keel walked into the lunch room just as Sango was finishing her salad. They all came over to the table where Basel was sitting. Naraku grabbed Kikyo around her stomach and whispered something in her ear, which of course made her laugh, but it sounded too fake for it to have been a real reaction to what he had said. InuYasha rolled his eyes, and stared down at the table. "It's ok InuYasha, that laugh was so fake it was pitiful!" Basel leaned over and whispered in InuYasha’s ear. "Kikyo's such a slut, Naraku probably just told her what he was doing, which of course she already knew....." Basel watched as Keel sat down next to Kouga trying not to make eye contact with his sister. She was staring at him; her eyes narrowed and her teeth clenched. Basel's ears kept twitching atop her head as she got angrier and angrier. The bell chimed and everyone got up and left. In no time at all we were back at Gym. Surprisingly the Gym doors were open. Everyone was just walking in. Basel and everyone went to where they were sitting before lunch had started. Keel still wouldn't look at Basel. InuYasha leaned over on Basel. "Hey calm down!.........It'll be fine.....I promise!" InuYasha smiled happily. Basel's cheeks turned deep scarlet. InuYasha was stroking Basel's ears, knowing that it would calm her down. Basel closed her eyes and leaned against the wall. She was totally relaxed! She couldn't even remember why she was so mad. Then Mr. Fours walked into the Gym. InuYasha stopped, and Basel suddenly remembered what she was mad about. "Alright....this is what we're gonna do.......I want to teach all of you how to control, use, and strengthen your powers, so everyday we will be holding tournaments.......single teams, now pick a partner to fight first." Mr. Fours walked into his office. Suddenly the room was filled with running, screaming.........kids! Basel looked around, then she knew how she would get back at Keel.........She was going to defeat him in the tournaments!~Fourth block 11:50am. ~ By the time every one had a partner and the teacher had come back out the bell was ringing for fourth block. Basel checked with all her friends and none of them had the same fourth block as her. She had History room 123 with......Mr.Myoga. Basel walked silently to her class. Basel sopped suddenly when she heard footsteps running toward her. *It's probably nothing! This is a school after all lots of people run!* Basel continued walking, that's when she heard some one calling out something "Hey girl!..........Dog girl! Keel's sister!!!!" Basel stopped short and turned around. Naraku was running toward her. *Oh god! Here comes Mr. Conceited himself!* "What do you want Naraku?" Naraku stopped next to her. "You have History don't you?" Basel rolled her eyes and continued walking, Naraku following. "Yeah..........why......?" Naraku shrugged "Uhhhhhhh....well I kinda failed last year, and I could use all the help I can get, and word around the sophomore block is that you get the best grades......." *How would anyone know what kind of grades I get???.......Oh yeah! Nation Honor Club....only kids with a GPA of 3.8 or higher can join, and I just happen to be president........I almost forgot.* Thought Basel. "Oh yeah........why don't you have anyone else to harass?" Naraku rolled his eyes, they were now going into the History room. "None of my friends have History 9 with me......or at any other time for that......." Basel sat at a seat at the far back corner of the room, as far from the teacher's desk as she possibly could, and Naraku sat next to her. "Yeah I guess....." Naraku smiled, the first time in a while away from Kikyo....... "DING............DING........" The final bell rang. Everyone looked around "Ummmm.....where's the teacher?" Naraku smirked "Oh you'll see....." Suddenly a little black speck jumped onto the teacher's desk. The speck jumped onto a big red button, and a loud booming voice came over the classroom. "I am Mr.Myoga, but you can just call me Myoga. I am your history teacher for the Semester, and my class works differently than any others, because I will not be using textbooks this year........." There were cheers from the students when Myoga took a breath from talking.............Then the bell rang.~Fifth block, end of school 1:~Miroku smirked at Basel as they walked out of the class and down the hall. "Man I can't believe than was Mr. Myoga!" "I know I couldn't either.........last year" Basel shook her head. By Naraku I have to go this way." "Ye bye!" Miroku suddenly went down the hall to the left. Basel kept walking forward till she seen room 110. As she walked into the class room her ears twitched, and she could smell something........Keel! She could tell because he reeked of cigarettes. Basel growled deeply as she got closer to him. Keel looked at her. *Oh god!....* "Who's that Keel? It looks like she's really mad at you......" There was a guy sitting across from Keel. "That's my sister......" Basel barred her teeth showing his friend her fangs......" He shivered, and Keel looked back at him. Basel sat in front of Keel, and turned around. "Hey Keel......who's this? He looks like an awful ugly scumbag....." Basel said in a mocking voice. "Sel.......don't be so mean......this is Jakotsu.....Jakotsu this is Basel my sister" "Nice to......" Basel rudely interrupts him. "Yeah, yeah......Keel why have you been late to most of the classes today? You were out smoking weren’t you? How can you even do that? You're an Ice-demon! I.C.E!" Keel made a lower your voice jester with his hands. "God tell the whole world!" Basel settles down a little "Oh sorry, I just never knew you did this Ke......." *Oh good! She's not made at me anymore!* "And if it makes you feel better.....I came straight from fourth block, with out even stopping to smoke!" Basel smiled sweetly "I'm very proud of you Ke!" "DING.....DING.............." A Muscular looking man, with short hair, and angel wings walked into the class room. "Hello class! My name is Kanjei, Mr.Kanjei........I am going to be your math teacher for the rest of the year. I have a few rules which we will be going over shortly, once I hand out the class room procedures papers................."DING.........DING" I walked out of class with Ke, and he looked me in the eyes for the first time all day. "Hey you want a ride home? I got enough room for you and some of your friends since only Kero is coming home with us today........and I promises not to smoke" Basel smiled and nodded her head. "Yes Ke I would!" Basel ran down the hall as fast as she could when she seen InuYasha. "Inu....want a ride home?" InuYasha looks behind her "Is Sesshomaru coming?" Basel shook her head "Nope!" InuYasha smiled "Yeah sure why not?" Basel and InuYasha walked back to Keel who was now also walking with Kero. Rousalin noticed Basel, and ran up to her. "Hey Ba!" Basel looked at her "What do you want Rousa?" Rousalin smiled sweetly "What are you talking about? I don't...." "Every time you want something you call me Ba.....like when you wanted 25 cents, and when you wanted my food at lunch, and that one time when......" Rousalin put her hand over Basel's mouth to shut her up. "Ok, ok we get the picture........alright so the thing is my mom isn't going to be home, and I kinda forgot my key, so I was wondering if I could come over?!" Rousalin uncovered Basel's mouth. "Yeah sure!" Rousalin smiled and hugged her friend. "Thank you so much Basel!" When they were at Keel's red fire bird everyone got into the car. InuYasha, Basel, and Rousalin in the back, Keel driving, and Kero in the passenger seat. They drove down the street, and stopped in front of InuYasha’s house. InuYasha stared at it, and then unwillingly got out. He waved goodbye to Basel, and Rousalin, and thanked Keel for dropping him off, then he leaped over the walk way to the door, his hair catching a little glimmer of sunlight and reflecting it. Rousalin watched Basel's expression as Basel watched InuYasha go inside. "Oh...My....God! You like him don't you?" Rousalin whispered. Basel blushed bright red. "No...No I don't!" Rousalin smiled "Yes you do!....You're blushing!" Basel blushed deeper, but then covered her face. "No I'm not! Rousa you're going color blind. Keel pulled up to his house, and dropped everyone off in the driveway, and then he proceeded to park in the garage. Basel ran up the walk and opened the door with her Bug's bunny key. Kero, and Rousalin followed her inside. Basel went into the kitchen to get a snack and Kero went upstairs with Keel when he came out of the garage. Rousalin went straight to the living room, and plopped down on the cream colored couch, and turned on the big screen TV. Basel walked into the living room with a plate of Chocolate chip cookies, and sugar cookies with two glasses of milk. "Oh crap! I'll be right back I forgot my book for my book report in my room!" Basel ran upstairs and went into her room. There sitting on her bed was Kero.
