A/n: Written in response to a challenge put to me by Onineko while we were arguing over a chapter we're trying to co-write.

"But, why? Is it only the beast that wants me?"
"No, you fool, I want you. I want to be the one to hold you when you cry, to dry your tears, to help you overcome your fears, to make you laugh, to kiss your lips, to do more than kiss you, but mostly.... I just want to be with you."
"Do you love me?"
"Demons do not love."
"You can't hide behind your pride forever."
"It's not pride."
"Of course not..."
